Mumbai-Goa Ferry Service Launching This August

A new, quicker travel option between Mumbai and Goa is set to launch very soon. Wondering what we’re talking about? Well, a new roll-on/roll-off (Ro-Ro) ferry service is scheduled to roll out on August 26, 2025. This innovative transportation solution is anticipated to reduce the journey time to around 6.5 hours, offering a more enjoyable alternative to the lengthy road trip, which is frequently hindered by traffic and can take over 12 hours.

M2M Ferries has rolled out a RoPAX vessel designed to carry 620 passengers and 60 cars on each trip, providing ample capacity for both people and their vehicles. The ferry will leave from Ferry Wharf in Mazgaon, Mumbai, and will dock at Mormugao Port in Goa. Besides, talks are in progress to add a stop in Panaji for enhanced convenience. The new route not only aims to shorten travel time but will also elevate the overall travel experience with onboard amenities and breath-taking sea views.
