You don’t have to travel to the Netherlands to see Tulips! Our very own Mumbai now has these colourful flowers blooming and how!
Often recognized for its dynamic lifestyle and urban landscapes, a remarkable display of Tulips is now giving Mumbai a colourful makeover.
Although tulips are not native to this area, several of Mumbai's tranquil green spaces have embraced these colorful blooms, transforming them into floral havens that enchant both gardening aficionados and individuals seeking a peaceful retreat from the city's frenetic pace.
1. Horniman Circle Gardens, Fort
The green refuge at the heart of South Mumbai, Horniman Circle Gardens, is the site of history surrounded by colonial-era architecture. The garden is decorated every tulip season by highly arranged tulips that introduce cheerful colors to an otherwise vibrant business district.
2. Jijamata Udyan (Rani Bagh), Byculla
This is one of the better places to sit back and enjoy a floral retreat. Jijamata Udyan usually winds its way through a variety of seasonal flowers, and now even tulips have added to the number, making it a destination for nature lovers.
3. Mumbai Port Trust Garden, Colaba
Tucked away close to Gateway of India, this is an offbeat destination providing the scenic sea views alongside breathtaking flower beds. The Tulip display is rather short here, but well organized, providing for an ideal opportunity to spam your gram.
4. Priyadarshini Park, Malabar Hill
Priyadarshini Park, with its jogging track by the sea and open expanse, is a hit among the locals. The park has recently installed seasonal flower beds of tulips to add a lovely touch to your morning walk.
5. Mumbai Flower Show (Various Locations)
If you are serious about seeing tulips in Mumbai, the annual Mumbai Flower Show is a must. Moving around different venues, this show displays exotic flowers—tulips included—fared by expert gardeners and horticulturists.
